How the DIY ~£150/year is reached — each builder's cheapest plan that allows your own domain, ad-free, + VAT + domain: Wix ~£140, Squarespace ~£175, GoDaddy ~£130 a year. ~£150 is the mid-point, and it repeats every year. Over five years that's roughly £750 for DIY, £2,000–£2,700 for a web designer, and about £424 with us (£349 once, then the domain).

We set everything up, then hand it over in full. Taking ownership is a few short steps.
We design and build the whole site for £349, and you see it before it goes live. Your content lives in your own code repository and runs on an established hosting provider.
Check it over, ask for changes, and we get it just right. Once you're happy, it goes live on the free hosting straight away.
On payment, the hosting and the code repository are transferred into your name. You change the passwords and swap in your own email.
Add your web address and the security padlock sets itself up. From then on it's entirely yours — we'll happily walk you through it.
Where it lives: the site runs on free hosting and all of its code sits in a private code repository that belongs to you.
Handed over on payment: once you pay the £349, ownership of both the hosting and the code is transferred to you.
